EEP Impact Award Featured Topic: Modulation of Systemic and Tissue Metabolism via Differences in Activity and Fitness

Featured Topic — Monday, April 8, 2019 — 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM — Convention Center, Room W308CD
Environmental and Exercise Physiology Section — Chair: E. Matthew Morris — Co-Chair: R. Scott Rector

This featured topic will highlight the impact of changes in physical activity and aerobic fitness on systemic and tissue-specific metabolic physiology, from alterations in cellular gene expression to whole-body metabolism.  Ultimately, describing mechanisms by which the modulation of physical activity and fitness influence the susceptibility and progression of the various and numerous metabolic disease states.
